Sony Walkman has died

Sony is officially retiring the product line in Japan. With strong competition in digital music such as iPods and MP3 players, it really was no surprise that this day was coming.

They say that in less developed countries the device will still continue (the United Kingdom and the United States) although I am certain that it will soon reach end of life globally and the last of the Sony Walkmans shall leave the production line for eternity.
