Hyperion Work In Progress Hey Hey whats this? Although the USS Virginia isnt finished, I decided
I needed a break to head into outer space instead Therefore, I decided to start a model of one of my faviorute Earth Force
Cruisers, The Hyperion Class, although I like the Omega Class Destroyer
more than the hyperion, I think doing the omega would be insane at this
time The Step up from the USS Virginia to EAS Hyperion should let me play
with new modeling tecniques, which I will use on my next Navy project
which will be a cruiser. Anyway, 'nuff babbling Today, I done some more work on it before getting ready to goto college ![]() ![]() As you can see, I have remodeled the upper cannon, in an attempt to make it better. Although, it isnt quite correct yet, but it is slightly better than the original, Im sure you can see that tho :) Things are really getting serious, I done a lot of modeling over two days on her! :D Now I have a new cannon and main body structure.
Allright, you may be wondering WTH I am doing textureing before the finishing of the model... well 'cause its my model that a good 'nuff answer? ![]() Anyway, I was wondering how textureing would be easy or not, I found my main hull (the textured bit) was too low poly so dat'z fixed
![]() Yiipie Kayay! I have found the blueprints that i have been working on for the Hyperion and im happy to announce an update
Anyways, i decided to follow some advice given, and so i remodeled a major part of the foward hull useing a single box
![]() Well then, i spent quite some time working on it several, I am not however entirely happy with the sub Engineering section, the hull there looks somewhat too curved. But I'll fix that tomorrow or whenever i feel like it. ![]() .
Coolies, today i deleted the old turrets and replaced them with the best one that i had made (it was on the front). Last night i found myself modeling the sticky out thinggies at the engine. Today I also done some work on the main engine exahust The foward hull also got a wee bit of a work on it, as you can see there is now a curve in the lower hull (currently green). I totally remodled that section you see ![]() Well anyway 'ers an updated version:
Seems to have been forever since i done anywork on the Hyperion, but at last we have something new. The last few days ive been working away on the aft engineering section. I added a support structure section, and, remodeled basically everything in sight there.
