This here then it the USS Virginia or at least will be. In reality, she is under construction. In CGI she is ... underconstruction too! The vessel is one of the newest designs; Nuclear Attack Submarine. If you want more technical specifications look at the links above.
The Virginia is the first in what I hope will be a long series of good meshes by myself from primary Allied (UK, US etc) Naval forces. I will probebly do some non Allied at some point but, for now Im concentrating mostly on the USS Virginia.

Test Render of SSN 774 SSN 774 - Shorter nose than first render, higher polygon nose too. SSN 774 - The main fins have been attached now.
This I think the main hull texture looks semi like it should under water... what ye all think? General Lighting Image. Close up of the tail fins - signs of mesh damage :( need to be fixed ;)
Torpedos [safely] away! :D WIREFRAME
USS Virginia Nuclear Attack Submarine, Fireing one MK48 Torpedo!

As you can see, Ive done some work on the foward hull. I used good ole' Boolean Modeling [ I never thought I would ever say that (Modeling that is.... )] Anyway, as you can see in the first one, [image 7 if you wish]. And naturally being as good as I am *ducks from all the objects fireing at him ) I figured out why the cap was there; I didnt quite delete the tube used to make the tube ... so deleted the cap and perfection it works. Somebody asked to see a wireframe .... if your frigtened by this wireframe .... tough

Now, perhaps I should add the rest of the torpedo tubes; took forever with that single one As you can see I forgot to update the text on this page. Anyway, the latest image is a test with the first torpedo installed. However the torpedo is not on the right scale; its too big. Not to mention not accurate enough. Dont worry I will remodel it, as a matter of fact Once I finish updateing the pages, with a new link, I will pause my download of SP3 and upload all these shiney new pages and get back to modeling.
